- Lead the creative direction and design vision for new and existing games across Lion Studios’ portfolio.
- Manage and mentor a team of game designers, fostering creative growth and high-quality output.
- Own and refine core gameplay loops, meta systems, and monetization design to drive long-term player engagement.
- Evaluate early prototypes and provide clear direction to improve game feel, retention, and scalability.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and artists to ensure cohesive execution of game concepts.
- Review game performance metrics and iterate on design based on user feedback and analytics.
- Stay ahead of market trends in mobile, hybrid casual, and puzzle genres to guide game innovation and differentiation.
- Build internal design processes, documentation standards, and best practices across the team.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in game design, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or directorial role.
- Proven success shipping mobile games, especially in hybrid casual or puzzle genres.
- Deep understanding of game systems design, monetization strategies, and player retention mechanics.
- Strong creative vision combined with a pragmatic, data-informed mindset.
- Experience managing and mentoring cross-functional creative teams.
- Skilled in translating high-level concepts into executable design plans and playable prototypes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using Unity for game design and prototyping.
- Familiarity with Figma or similar tools for UX/UI collaboration.
- Comfortable working with or integrating AI tools into game design pipelines.

- Drive early-stage game development by contributing to concept ideation, core gameplay design and level design.
- Design and refine gameplay mechanics with a focus on difficulty tuning, progression, and player engagement throughout the game development

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including artists, developers, and producers, to ensure cohesive game design and implementation,

Basic Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience as a game designer, focusing on hybrid casual games
- Strong understanding of game design principles, mechanics, and monetization, particularly in the puzzle genre
- Advanced analytical skills, ability to spot patterns and trends
- Experience with level design and funnel optimization
- Experienced with creating mock-ups and design documents
- Experienced in communicating with programmers, leading them through the execution of your designs, and giving feedback
- Proficiency in Vietnamese and English to communicate with both local Vietnamese and Lion teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Unity is a huge plus
- Familiarity with Figma or similar visual collaboration software
- Experience and general knowledge of working with AI tool
- Track record of publishing/working on a successful hyper/hybrid casual or casual titles

- Translating business requirements into technical implementations via instrumentation in games to collect necessary data
- Design and manage A/B tests across multiple titles, ensuring tests are well-structured, statistically valid, and actionable.
- Define success metrics and analytical frameworks to evaluate core gameplay, monetization, and retention experiments.
- Build dashboards and reports that communicate key experiment outcomes and product insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with product teams to develop hypotheses and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Work with data engineering to ensure proper event tracking and data reliability.
- Drive the experimentation roadmap across the portfolio to foster a culture of rapid iteration and continuous learning.
Basic Qualifications:
- 2 - 4 years of professional experience. Specific experience with social games, mobile apps, and/or cognitive sciences is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field. Honors thesis or Master’s degree with thesis is strongly preferred.
- Experience designing, running and evaluating quantitative experiments
- Proficient with R and/or Python for data modeling and analysis
- Proficient with SQL
- Ability to be self-sufficient and execute quickly when given autonomy
